As the theme of these mini quilts was originally to showcase how to make our computer station more quilt friendly; I designed "cat and mouse" and "mac and me". The third one to fit into this technology theme was inspired by the Windows logo.
Since my wish was to enlarge this concept and represent my flag; I updated my original design that now includes fifteen different flag styles. These styles will each be available separately; to keep the cost the same as the other mouse pad designs. Most include variations from the original style to show you how easy it is to adapt the style to similar flag designs.
[M] THREE-PIECE DESIGN: Featuring--CONGO
This design has three main pieces. The flag base is split into three diagonal parts (#40, #41, and #42). To make this style; the diagonal pieces are similar, just some go in the other direction. For the Congo, you may wish to overlap the center piece onto the two outer pieces. I thought is looked better with the yellow overlapping the green piece.
This pattern includes instructions and all template pieces for each variation where pieces differ from the featured flag style. [Variation: Soloman Islands]
It has been a real pleasure sharing my quilting journey with you; and to be a part of your experience, by you discovering my pattern designs.
My quilting group in the APPLIQUE MYSTERY QUILT ALONG are very creative. April will be the final month -- time to assembly our lovely applique and pieced blocks. Looking forward to seeing your self-inspired quilts!
