As the theme of these mini quilts was originally to showcase how to make our computer station more quilt friendly; I designed "cat and mouse" and "mac and me". The third one to fit into this technology theme was inspired by the Windows logo.
Since my wish was to enlarge this concept and represent my flag; I updated my original design that now includes fifteen different flag styles. These styles will each be available separately; to keep the cost the same as the other mouse pad designs. Most include variations from the original style to show you how easy it is to adapt the style to similar flag designs.
[I] ONE-PIECE DESIGN: Featuring--NEW ZEALAND
One-piece designs use only one background fabric for the flag base (#1). And, may have one or more elements added to it. The New Zealand flag has four red stars and a special corner piece embellished with the Union Jack emblem. This is the featured extra in the pattern.
This pattern includes instructions and all template pieces for this featured flag style. [Extra feature: How-to instructions to create the Union Jack using single-fold bias tape.)
It has been a real pleasure sharing my quilting journey with you; and to be a part of your experience, by you discovering my pattern designs.
My quilting group in the APPLIQUE MYSTERY QUILT ALONG are very creative. April will be the final month -- time to assembly our lovely applique and pieced blocks. Looking forward to seeing your self-inspired quilts!
