Two great women were a major influence in my creative life. My Greatgrandmother and my Mother taught me to sew, knit, crochet, and tat. I am the only quilter in my family and am self taught. Over the years I became interested in pattern design and started writing quilt patterns. I now design quilt patterns which I offer to you to enjoy. I love what I am doing and I hope you enjoy my work.View all patterns by designer (19) »
This is an easy to piece quilt using your stash or can be one line of fabric using 8 fabrics. The border will be mitered strips to give the border the look of a continuous piece.
Pattern has a great You Tube link explaining how to work with mitered borders. This quilt is made from an 8 inch block. The center of the block is pieced and then sourounded on 2 sides with log cabin strips.
This pattern has directions for 4 sizes. Included sizes are wall hanging, lap, twin, and double quilt sizes.
The pictures of this quilt uses 8 fabrics but a scrappy look works really well. Any design will look well, flowers, geometrics, calicoes are all great choices. The possibilities are endless.
