Skill Level:

medium skill level requirement Intermediate

Basic Skills Necessary:

  • Intermediate quilting skills including an accurate scant 1/4" seam allowance

Pattern Description:

Fall Colours gives a new twist on a classic maple block and adds an original oak block to create a unique quilt design. The result is a stunning lap (20-block) or twin (30-block) quilt, with bonus instructions for a small 4-block wall hanging. Folded bias curves (or Cathedral curves) give the leaves movement with no curved piecing.

Have fun collecting fat quarters for the leaves and trellises - the scrappier the better! Batiks or tone on tone prints work well in this pattern.

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • Wall Hanging 31" x 31"
  • Lap Quilt 55 " x 66 "
  • Twin Quilt 69 " x 80 "

  • 1 3/4 yd background
  • 3/8 yd zinger
  • 7/8 yd border
  • 1/2 yd binding
  • 3 1/4 yd backing
  • Twin batting

You Will Also Need:
