Basic Skills Necessary:

  • Sew an accurate 1/4 inch seam.
  • Be comfortable working with bias edges.

Pattern Description:

There are so many beautiful panels available, but after a while it gets a little boring just adding plain borders. My solution is this attractive pieced border made of 5 inch pieced blocks. I designed this to fit a panel by Sandy Gervais (Giddy), but it will work with any panel that you can cut down to the appropriate size. The piecing is easier than it looks, but it does require paying attention to the color placement as you sew! Don't worry, if I can get all the pieces in the right place you can, too!

No templates required, fully illustrated with color pictures, and I've even included suggestions for quilting your finished pattern. You can make this quilt easily in an evening and have it finished for a lovely addition to your home or as a special gift.
