Pattern Description:

I used bright scraps to make this doorstop over a couple of evenings. It's a lovely hand project to make for yourself or as a gift for a special friend. You could use rick-rack, buttons or tassels to embellish - let your imagination run wild! A great house-warming gift!

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • 10" wide and 9" high

Materials:

  • scrap fabrics - less than 1/3rd yard in all
  • template plastic
  • pom-poms or fringing to embellish the doorstop

You Will Also Need:

  • basic hand sewing tools and pre-cut 2 1/2" paper shapes -18, 60-degree diamonds and 12, equilateral triangles
  • and some sand to fill your doorstop
