(7) Name: 'Quilting : DAISY

Basic Skills Necessary:

  • Drawing (copying onto wonder under) . Fusing. Cutting. Quilting.

Pattern Description:

I saw this cat in my dream one night and got up to draw it. Went back to bed and when I got up the next morning I made the quilt. I liked it so much I thought others would too. Using hand dyes and scraps you can easily make DAISY in a day.

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • 11 x 13.5


  • 1/2 yard Blue for sky
  • 2 fat eighths one light and one dark ( good contrast for the cat)
  • 10 scraps of hand dyed or colored fabrics for the flowers
  • A 5"x5" piece of black
  • A 4"x4" piece of dark brown
  • A 4"x4" piece of green for stems
  • A 4"x 12" green for grass
  • A 12" x12" green for stems ( they have to be cut on the bias.)
  • 1/2 yd for backing and hanging sleeve
  • 1/4 yd red for binding

You Will Also Need:

  • Wonder under to trace pattern ( I have my hard copy printed on fusible. You will have to trace the pattern onto a fusible )
  • Appliqu Pressing Sheet. , Scissors. Fine line sharpie marker. ( to draw mouth and eye lashes) . Batting.
