Basic Skills Necessary:

  • You should already know how to make fusible appliqus, use a rotary cutter, mat and ruler, know how to use a sewing machine.

Pattern Description:

Not sure that you like 30's repro fabric but loves Sunbonnet Sue? Here' she is in country fabrics-or use batiks for a modern look! Easy pieced blocks using 2 1/2" wide x WOF strips and strip pieced sashing make this a fast project. Choose your favorite prints to make the dresses and coordinating bonnet ribbon.

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • Pattern makes a throw (52" x 66") or twin quilt (74" x 88")


  • To make a throw quilt: 25 assorted 2 1/2" x WOF strips, six 10" squares, 1 3/8 yards background fabric, 1/8 yd. tan print, red, yellow & green & flesh tones scraps, 1 yd. for outer border, 1/2 yd. binding, 3 1/2 yards backing

You Will Also Need:

  • 7/8 yard fusible web, contrasting thread to finish shape edges
