Children enjoy counting down the days until Christmas. Why not make a quilted calendar together?
The date card pieces (trees) are laminated to keep them easy to clean. Every white space has a Velcro square to fit each year as it changes. The date cards attach easily to the squares with Velcro, so this calendar can be used for many years to come since it is not year specific.
This PDF pattern has colored illustrations, clear instructions, and full-size templates for the applique pieces that have already been reversed for the fusible applique process. A pattern for the pouch to hold the date cards is also included. Use my fabric choices as your guide and have fun with this project.
If you wish, you may try one of my free applique patterns to see if the method is one you would like to make.
