Skill Level:

small skill level requirement Beginner

Basic Skills Necessary:

  • Straight-line sewing
  • Experience with linings (helpful)

Pattern Description:

Ho-ho-ho! Play Santa. Give gifts and make the stocking to put them in. This large Christmas stocking with patchwork strips will blow your friends and family away. They'll think you spent ages (or loads of dollars) just to make them happy. Plus, it's a great way to use up scraps and leftover honeybun and jelly roll strips. No one will know that the fabric came from your scrap bag, and there's no need to tell them either.

This stocking is simple, classic and easy to make. Includes detailed instructions, illustrations and sewing diagrams plus all the pattern pieces you need to make one lined stocking with a handy hanging loop. You don't even know how to make a lined project because I'll show you!

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • Large: 19 inches tall from cuff to toe.

  • Iron
  • Sewing machine
  • 4 fat eighths per stocking
  • Small scraps for the heel and toe
  • A printer, paper and tape to assemble the pattern
  • Approximately 3/8 yard lining per stocking

You Will Also Need:

  • Thread
  • Pin, scissors and basic sewing supplies
  • Rotary cutter and cutting mat (optional)
