Pattern Description:

Let's not pretend that this is an easy table runner. It is tiny pieces making up tiny blocks (about 3" square). But before you throw your hands up in the air, you need to know that after the first couple of blocks, it does get easier AND, more to the point, the results are amazing. You can use any of the wonderful Christmas fabrics available to make it up. Quilting with some metallic gold thread would make it even more special. Decorate the centers with some gold beads. Wait! This just got so beautiful it can't be put on the table to get dirty! It needs to go on the wall away from spilled eggnog and grubby fingers...

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • 19 1/2" x 43 1/2"

Materials:

  • 5/8 yd for cream background
  • 5/8 yd for flowers and border #2
  • 3/8 yd for green for leaves
  • 1/8 yd (NOT fat) green print for Border #1
  • 5/8 yd for Border #3 and Binding
  • 1 1/2 yds for backing
  • 24" x 46" batting (could be heat resistant)
  • Normal quilting/sewing supplies

You Will Also Need:

  • Add an 1/8" ruler
  • tweezers
  • 25 paper plates for sorting
  • Gold beads (optional)
  • Gold metallic quilting thread (optional)
