A chevron stripe adds zip and cheer to any quilt blanket. This versatile and easy pattern can be your go to place to find the perfect handmade gift to make for your family and friends.
The pattern includes 2 versions, one with borders on the ends and 3 chevron stripes, one with no borders and 4 chevron stripes. The material list included here on Craftsy is for the 4 stripe version. The supply list for the 3 stripe version is on the pdf pattern.
The applique chevron stripes are sewn with the fabric edges raw, exposed. It is designed to fray to the stitches, giving a textured, unaffected look to the quilt. The applique and the quilting are done at the same time. There is no binding; the edges are finished by sewing all around and then clipping the edges to fray.
Every step in this quilt was planned to create the most beautiful quilt possible in the most efficient way possible.
I love designing and making quilts, especially folk and story quilts. All my patterns are easy to follow with step by step directions and photos. Every pattern begins with a quilt created and sewn on my table top machine.
I have a blog where I share the design process behind the patterns, MarylandQuilter.com. Come by and visit!
