About the designer

I'm a quiltmaker, a pattern designer, and a professional longarm quilter. I like all kinds of quilts and all kinds of techniques. I've been quilting for over 40 years. It's a bit of an addiction.

Basic Skills Necessary:

  • machine sewing, quilting

Pattern Description:

I designed this quilt after spending a fair amount of time staring at the carpeting on a hospital waiting room floor. I sketched it out, excerpted a section, enlarged it a bit, colored it in, and came up with this quilt design! You really can find inspiration anywhere!

Made using only squares and rectangles, this quilt is very easy to put together, yet looks like it was tricky -- it's not!

You can use strips from your stash, or use a jelly roll with some coordinating background fabric to make this quilt in your own favorite colorway.

Great for quilters of any skill level, and a fun quilt to make.
