I loved making a traditional Log Cabin quilt but when I was done I wanted to BREAK OUT and do something different. I used left over log cabin blocks cut up and rearranged into new forms.

This pattern will be exciting and inspirational completed with any left over blocks you have be they handed down, vintage or left from various projects of your own. Use the sashing, and borders to bring everything into harmony.

Explore a new way to add fancy edges and try out hand quilting in small doses. This quilt can be made from your stash and end up a special project you'll never tire of looking at.

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

52 X 52 inches

Materials:

12 pieced quilt blocks, at least 8x8 inches left over from previous projects, vintage etc. 1 yard sashing (green) 2/3 yard (brown) 1 yard (floral), 1 yard (red) 1/4th yard orange, 1 yard (green print), 1/2 yard (red and white print), 60x60 inch throw size thin cotton batting, sewing machine

You Will Also Need:

Paper, freezer paper, ruler, rotary cutter, cutting mat, scissors, sewing thread, pins, needle, basting thread and chalk marking pencil.
