Bluebirds Set A Bluebird block 5

Basic Skills Necessary:

  • From the different applique techniques, I like this one the best; and it is the easiest to do.

Pattern Description:

Quilts come in all shapes and sizes. And, so do the requests from friends and family. These appliqued blocks were a result of such a request.

I decided I'd create my own birdhouse design and embellish it until it was pleasing for my client. The original quilt pattern layout was upgraded with the new appliqued blocks. The name of the new quilt is called, "Bluebird Landing."

This layout was not my design; therefore, I am offering these appliqued birdhouses in sets of two in which you are free to mix and match; and set them into any type of quilt you desire.

This PDF pattern has colored illustrations, clear instructions, and full-size templates for the applique pieces; already reversed for the fusible applique process. Use my fabric choices as your guide and have fun with these quilt blocks. Try one or all six; it's up to you!
