Block Island North, RI, Lighthouse Block Island North Lighthouse

Basic Skills Necessary:

  • Foundation paper piecing
  • Add sashing and/or borders to quilt block

Pattern Description:

Block Island North lighthouse is located at Sandy Point, north end of Block Island, RI

This is a foundation paper-pieced pattern. The full size pattern is included in this PDF file. It prints out on 11" x 17" paper. If you are printing on 8.5" x 11", you will need to adjust your printer's settings for pages 10-11 to "tile large pages". This setting can be found under "scaling type". Also define the "overlap" to be at least .25". Print the pages at full size. Each of these 2 pages will print out in sections onto 4 different pages. Then you will need to tape them together. The Unit A piece should measure 13" wide inside the sewing lines after you have it taped together.

If you prefer to have a full-size printed pattern mailed to you, go to my website to purchase it: http://www.quiltpatternsmore.com

My patterns are realistic pictures of the lighthouses. There are 70 patterns available so far. They each have their own personality and will draw the viewer into the picture.

The fabrics available today for landscapes are awesome and will make these patterns come alive. You can choose fabrics similar to the ones I've used, or you can select your own favorites and make it custom to your tastes.

I hope you enjoy these patterns as much as I have creating them.
