This is an easy "sew and turn right-side-out design - no binding required." You have the option to turn it right-side-out and stuff it with polyfil to use as a pillow if you choose, by simply eliminating the tabs.

Simple, sophisticated, elegant or folksy depending upon your choice of fabrics. This is an easy, no fuss fusible pattern for beginner to advanced skill levels. The instructions are for a wall hanging, double-batted in the center to make the bird on a tree branch silhouette stand out, but can easily be adapted as a pillow for someone with basic sewing skills. Feel free to add your own embellishments, such as buttons or lace, etc., to make it "your own." A great way to bring nature into your home!

I like to encourage stitchers to choose their favorite colors and patterns, brights, neutrals, primitives, fancies...whatever YOU like! Don't be afraid to experiment! As long as you have enough contrast between the backing fabric and the bird fabric, it will turn out great.
