Pattern Description:

Designed for a class on basic techniques of fabric painting, this project is easy, quick and fun and can be made in a variety of colors. As an alternative to fabric painting, the motif patterns can easily be converted to hand or machine applique. The project takes about 8 hours to complete from cutting the fabric to finishing the binding.

The design can be expanded to a table runner, wallhanging or full size quilt by adding additional blocks. This is also a good project to practice free motion quilting or experiment with heavier threads. The sample features perle cotton to outline the motifs.

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

32" x 24"

Materials:

2 yards very light colored solid or near solid fabric.
34" x 26" piece of batting
5 fabirc pens in desired colors

You Will Also Need:

Thread in color of choice to blend or contrast with the fabric.
Safety pins to pin baste the quilt top.
