magnificent! how the colors dance; a great example of how colors shift depending on what the neighboring color is. you're clearly at master at that. what makes this pattern intermediate? it looks like straight sewing, and choosing where to place each block configuration. no pattern can tell the quilter how to place color. the size of the smallest squares would drive me up the wall, but i could always make them bigger. it would also be one way to get a larger quilt.

absolutely gorgeous! love the way you've put colors together. it's all in what goes next to what. how they dance! what is it that makes this intermediate? looks like it's just straight seam stitching, and choosing where to place the different block configurations.

The squares appear to be framed in black. Is that true or is that just how it photographed? Thanks

Hi, it is jusy how the picture appears, the squares aren't framed in black.

Thank you so much for you response. It is a very beautiful pattern and I have tons of batik fabrics that I think would look great in this pattern.

beckysaladino@yahoo.com Could this pattern be adjusted for a queen size quilt? I love it! I really need it in a queen size. Waiting to hear from you!

It looks like there are two alternating blocks. Queen size, or any size, just means that you have to make more blocks.

It simply means the pattern is on your computer. You CAN, however, print it out if you wish.

another way to increase the size of the quilt is to increase the size of the individual fabrics. each block is four by four small squares that seem to be 2" square, so an 8" block. you can have any size block you want just by doing your math, and maybe show off a larger motif of some of your favorite fabrics as well.
