Basic Skills Necessary:

  • Blanket Stitch, machine quilting, binding

Pattern Description:

Rain showers in April are the inspiration. This is such a fun topper to make, doesn't take long to make and sure brightens up any room.

Instructions for how to make such a large circle is included, makes this task that looks hard easy to accomplish.

If you are wanting to make the square topper...All you need is a 30" square, always make yours bigger so you can cut it down after appliqueing and some rain drops....your rains drops do not have to be perfect.....there you have it. Fold your 30" in a triangle and then a triangle again. Finger press. Fold your umbrella in half and place on the fold line in each corner. Place the flowers in between the umbrellas as shown and follow the rest of the directions included

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • 29" in diameter

Materials:

  • Four - 6 1/2" x 16 1/2" strips, four 9" x 10 1/2" strips,fat quarter for stems and petals,scraps for flowers or fat quarter
  • yard of fabric for background, backing, and batting
