Use quick piecing methods to construct either size of this modified version of the traditional Ohio Star block. Quilters who hate to waste fabric will be happy to know that the points for the smaller stars are made from the leftovers of the larger ones. Fabric requirements are for fat quarters, but the blocks can also be made from scraps or yardage.
Sizing / Finished Measurements:
- 60" x 80" without borders
Materials:
- Backgrounds: 2 3/4 yards light
- Stars: 1/4 yard or 1 fat quarter for each 2 blocks
- Inner border: ? yard
- Outer border: 1 ? yards, cut crosswise or 2 1/2 yards, cut lengthwise
- Back: 5 1/2 yards, pieced lengthwise
- Binding: ? yard
