I have been a crafter all of my life. Most of my childhood memories include my mom sewing, painting, or hot gluing! In 2002 I learned to quilt with my mom. Soon after, I began sewing bags, garments, anything else that could be created with fabric. I am also a long arm quilter and an instructor at Patti's Quilting and Fabrics in Glens Falls, NY.
Quilting is my lifeline. It has gotten me through two cross-country moves and has helped me to find an amazing support group of people I am happy to call my friends!
This quilt pattern has 2 great design options. Use a layer cake or cut your own 10" squares (42 total). The squares can be used to piece modern 9-patch blocks, or they can simply be trimmed to size and used as is! Works great with solids or prints!
Finished quilt size is 64" x 72".
The layout is deceivingly simple to create, and comes together very quickly. Use your layer cake sheets trimmed to size and have a quilt top pieced in a day!
For another look, piece the modern 9-patch blocks as explained in the pattern. Then use these modern 9-patches in your quilt layout!
Pattern includes detailed instructions and step-by-step illustrations for cutting, piecing the blocks, and creating the quilt top.
Simple enough for a confident beginner to create!
