If you know how to quill loose coils and scrolls, you're ready to learn how to make modern open-petal flowers.
Double petals, stamens, larger and smaller flowers, 8 petal flowers, and a super easy-peasy guide for measuring each strip. For those who dislike reading manuals, there are step-by-step photos to show each stage.
I designed these flowers because I wanted a graphic and airier look than traditional flower quilling. It uses less material and for me, I was able to make my bouquets faster. My tension is not always the same, so if you've been daunted by the exacting coils usually shown in quilling flowers, I hope you will feel inspired to give my version of quilling with a "modern twist" a try.

I'm a graphic designer by day and a paper crafter by night. I enjoy giving traditional quilling a modern twist.
