Pattern Description:

If you clip coupons you have probably tried a few of the options out on the market to organize your coupons. I tried the coupon accordain wallet. I liked the wallet because it was small and fit in my purse. But, it was frustrating because it was limited to stuffing coupons in one specific section. Even with detailed categorizing I would still have to pull out a handful of coupons to find the one I needed. A lot of wasted time I felt.

As my coupon collection expanded, the wallet didn't. I liked the binder option because I could see the coupon at a glance, but I didn't want to carry around a large sized binder and I didn't like folding my larger coupons to fit in the inserts available. So I created one that took the best of the two options, convenience and size.

It's the size of a daytimer, it expands with my needs, it has extra large coupon inserts (no need for folding) and it's secured.

All of the supplies I found at my local JoAnn craft store minus the chain links. I had to go to the hardware store for those.

I created two options for the coupon inserts. One is made by using store bought page protectors and a sewing machine (less expensive). The other is by using vinyl found in any fabric store and using a food saver machine (more durable). Bother are easy to make.

Contact Paper
2 post screws (found in the scrapbooking section)
Oval Elastic Cord
Tack Button or Snap
3 Eyelets 3.97mm
3 Ball Chain Links (hardware store)
Page Protectors (coupon insert option)
8 guage frosted vinyl (coupon insert option 2)
