Basic Skills Necessary:

  • cut paper, use modge podge and a paint brush

Pattern Description:

Who doesn't love a pretty ornament - especially when they are handmade AND beautiful?!?

Learn to create these stunning balls made with vintage hymnal sheet music. You could substitute with any vintage book paper or dictionary, or even make colorful ornaments using magazine pages.

The process is easy, but can be time consuming. It would make for a fun snow day project for kids ages 6 and up (with parent supervision). Just add hot cocoa!

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • materials for 6 ornaments - approximately 2.5"

Materials:

  • 12-14 sheets hymnal music or vintage book pages
  • paper trimmer and scissors
  • set of 6 glass ball ornaments with white or silver finish - 2.5"
  • modge podge
  • shimmer paint ("Create-A-Shade Pearl Paint by CTMH is great)
  • paint brush, small bowl
  • ribbon
  • hot glue or craft glue
