Pattern Description:

Made from recycled fibers and hemp, this coordinating set will give your rigid heddle loom a nice workout. Included is a crash course in pick-up, using a heddle rod, and why weaving upside downthe pattern, not yousometimes makes sense. Included are complete instructions for the rug and soap pillows and two variations for the rug.

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • rug, 19" x 26"; soap pillow, two 3 x 4 1/2" x 1 1/2"

Materials:

  • Yarn: Rug, Remix by Berroco; 216 yd/3. oz per ball (987 yd/lb); worsted-weight 100% recycled fibers (30% nylon, 27% cotton, 24% acrylic, 10% silk); shown in Almond (3903) and Nightfall (3949); 2 balls each color. Soap pillow, Hemp for Knitting; 165 yd/lb 3. oz per skein (754 yd/lb); DK weight 100% hemp; shown in Dusty Rose (025), Marble (015), Midnight Blue (039), and Sapphire (018)
  • Tools: rigid heddle loom (25-inch and 5-inch weaving width), 12-dent reed, 2 shuttles, 25-inch dowel, pick-up stick
