The Kim bag looks really difficult but it is really easy! The color work is done with slip stitches so you only have to use one color per line. The bag's construction starts with the base and sts are picked up for each side. After knitting each side they are seamed together and sts picked up to make pockets.
I cannot carry a bag without lots of pockets. They bag has a cell phone pocket, a utility pocket and a sunglasses pocket.
Part of the fun of this bag is picking out the yarn. I suggest you start with the variegated yarn then choose two complimentary solids. Be sure that there is enough color difference that you can see the pretty color work.

I am an avid knitter and designer. I love being a partner in a yarn shop because I find constant sources of inspiration from customers and when teaching classes.
In addition to knitting I am a runner. I have completed over 15 Half Marathons and 1 full --it was hard!
My husband and two dogs and I travel a ton. I always try to make it in to others shops and fiber festivals. Knitting is indeed ...
