Pattern Description:

The Angela Bag was designed for a friend's daughter who is a producer. Her job requires her to travel quite a bit so I thought of all of my years of travel and what I would want from a bag.

The front and back pockets are angled for easy access. They are large enough to carry an iPad or tablet. They are also great for carrying travel documents and print outs. The side pockets include a cell phone pocket, a small pocket for hotel keys, and a water bottle pocket.

I bought leather handles from Homestead Heirlooms. The pictured handles are the 30" Sew on Leather Handles.

The bag could easily be lined for additional pockets. It is easy and quick to knit. Make the base first, pick up sts for sides, seam sides, then pick up sts for pockets. There is a little bit of color work on the pockets. If you have not done color work before this is a great place to start since there is just a little bit. The charts are easy to follow and there are good instructions for following the chart.

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

11" tall, 12" wide, 5" deep

Materials:

2 contrasting colors each of 410 yards worsted weight or 210 bulky weight. Must be feltable wool.

24" circular size US 11 needles, darning needle, leather hangles
