Pattern Description:

It is known in stories and folklore that fairies live on the islands of Maine. Their houses are very difficult to find because they blend so well into their surroundings. Sometimes the local children build miniature dwellings along the wooded trails in the hope that a fairy will take up residence. Entice the fairies to come live with you! Overgrown with creeping vines, soft moss, lichen and dotted with mushrooms and flowers, this needle felted fairy house will become the perfect hideaway for some lucky fairies or a family of gnomes!

The pattern comes with complete step-by-step instructions with colorful photos and excellent diagrams, and full size patterns to create this charming, two-story fairy habitat, complete with a mushroom stairway leading to the second level. The method of construction is so ingenious you'll want to learn how it's done!

NOTE: Legal size paper is needed to print pages 11-17 of this pattern. If you don't have any, tape together sheets to measure 8.5" x 14". Directions for making dolls is not included.

Finished house measures 10" wide by 9" tall

Materials:

wool fleece or roving in colors of your choice
1/2 yard natural or white wool felt
1/2 yard sew-in Peltex or other stiff interfacing
14.5" x 6" Wonder Under fusible webbing
two 10" x 8" Fast-2-Fuse stiff interfacing
two 10" x 8" cotton fabric (scrap is fine)
1 yard length of bulky wool yarn (light green)
1 yard length of bulky wool yarn (dark green)
12 silk flower petals
felting needle (all purpose, 36 or 38 gauge)
