Through my years of sewing clothes both for myself and to sell, I've developed a simple way to create digital images of dresses and other garments. This allows me to take a photo of a garment I made and use it as the basis of a digital line drawing that I can then use to experiment with fabric layout adding embellishments, etc. It's also been a great tool to use to show customers a simulation of how a garment will look if made with fabric other than shown in a photo of an actual garment.
Note: I use Paint Shop Pro v5 as my graphic software but this should work with other software that allows you to create images in layers.
Iíve been sewing for 35+ years and have enjoyed trying many new techniques along the way. I enjoy writing eBooks that work for most levels of sewists, from confident beginner to advanced.
