Felt Tote Bag Pattern

Pattern Description:

I wanted to try something a little different and challenging - so I started experimenting with weaving roving - this tote is the result. As an advanced pattern, it requires a little skill so I suggest you try the technique first in a sample.

A great alternative to a knitting bag, you can use it to tote just about any small(ish) craft project - look at how much I've stuffed into it!

I've found it great for taking along to fibre events - it holds enough fibre for a good long spinning session.

But wait - don't just make one as a craft bag - it looks great with jeans, and can foot it with the best!

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

Finished width approximately 15"(50cm)
Finished height approximately 10" (30cm) excluding handles

Materials:

200-300gr (around 6oz) felting wool
About 25gr (1 oz) wool yarn
long, sharp needle and thread
1 heavy metal or wooden ruler
soap or detergent
scissors
felting board or matchstick blind
.6m (3/4 yard) wide tulle or mosquito netting
heavy clear plastic sheeting
large wool needle and awl or similar
