A touch of the exotic will grace your Christmas tree with this reed leaf hieroglyph ornament, or make it as a year-round magnet for your refrigerator. The design was adapted from the traditional Egyptian reed leaf hieroglyph. The ornament is made on 10-mesh plastic canvas with scraps of worsted weight and metallic needlepoint yarn. It has a separately made back, so you will not see those annoying knots and ends. It is one of a series which I have designed.
Be sure to check out the rest of the Egyptian designs in my shop, as well as the other original needlepoint, crochet, quilt, and knit patterns . I add new listings all the time.
All of the designs which I sell are my own and are copyrighted. Painstaking attention has been paid to the instructions, to ensure that they are clear, accurate, and easy to understand and follow.

I started knitting at age 8 and learned all the rest as I went along - crocheting, sewing, tatting, latch hook, macrame, quilting, needlepoint, leather work, and woodworking. I became a professional seamstress and got into quilting big-time. These days, I mostly concentrate on knitting, crocheting, needlepoint, quilting, and woodworking. I began doing my own designing when I was laid up in a full leg cast. Since then, I have created over 200 of my own designs in various mediums, the patterns for which I sell everywhere and anywhere. I decided to sell my patterns individually, since I hate to have to buy an entire book to get the one or two that I want.
I do sell some hand-made items from my own designs, including woodworking items made by myself, at:
