I originally designed this bear as a softie but I loved his original sketch so much that I decided to make an applique pattern of it too.
One of the great things about applique patterns is that you can use them anywhere - and for more than applique. They make fabulous collage patterns too. The third photo shows the same bear worked up in paper on greeting cards. Easy peasy! It would work as an embroidery pattern too. So versatile!
The pattern shows him appliqued in felt, but you can use any fabric and any applique technique. The second photo shows him appliqued in corduroy on a receiving blanket. Just pick your favorite!
You'll receive a full-sized pattern and complete instructions with plenty of step-by-step photos. The pattern also has links to videos teaching you every skill you'll need to complete the project. Great for beginners!
Expect to spend a few hours on this guy.
I'm on a mission to teach people to sew, quilt, and embroider. I design patterns especially for beginners and I never release a pattern until I have videos teaching you every skill you'll need to complete the project. Have fun!
