Pattern Description:

Knit your own pod of whales! Each one takes only 60 yards & a few hours of knitting, so you'll be damp from the spouting spray in no time!

Most of the examples are knit with worsted weight cotton yarn & US size 3 (3.25mm) needles, and are approximately 16cm long & 10cm tall, but almost any yarn/needle combination could be used as long as the gauge is nice and tight so no stuffing pokes through. The small whale in the last photo was knit with sock yarn & US size 1 needles & is 8 cm long, and the large whale used 2 strands of worsted acrylic & US size 9 needles & is 30 cm long, so they can be tiny & cute or huge & huggable!

The pattern combines flat knitting and knitting in the round techniques, with some seaming required. Short rows and increases are used for shaping; it is an intermediate/advanced level pattern. Lots of photos & stitch descriptions, as well as video links for technique tips are included.
