When I retired, I felt like it was time to do a bit of 'give back' to the community, so I involve myself in a little voluntary work, and take great pleasure from knitting for charity......when I designed this pattern (which has been tested for accuracy), I thought that publishing it would perhaps help me to raise a little extra cash to donate to the local charity Caritas. I sell any toys I make if I can, and all the monies, apart from the cost of materials is given to this very worthwhile charity. I would be so delighted if you buy and enjoy this pattern as much as I have designing it and making it. Hopefully over time I will be able to add more patterns to my portfolio xxView all patterns by designer (11) »
Somehow, creating this pattern has given me more joy that anyone will ever know. My dear Mum, when alive, was an amazing knitter....and me...well, I never could really understand how she could be so passionate about everything she ever created...and I never felt the need to knit myself. I truly believe that she is guiding me to do what I am doing now...and not for myself, as each pattern I sell, the money will be going to support a local charity here in Guernsey. I adore dogs.....and creating this one makes me realize why. I hope you enjoy as much as I.
This is a great thing to be able to tell you....this isn't a garment, so it doesn't have to fit anyone, so there is no gauge to worry about in this pattern...isn't that great!
