Pattern Description:

Looking for a cool way to use up a bit of spare sock yarn? Any 50g ball of sock/ 4ply yarn will enable you to knit Sidney! For a larger monkey, just use thicker yarn and needles. The pattern is knit in the round for much less seaming too! This would make a great present for a special wee one!


10cm squared = 34 sts and 46 rows in stockinette stitch


  • 1 50g ball of sock yarn
  • 2.5mm circular knitting needles or DPNs if preferred
  • small amount of sock yarn in contrasting colour for mouth
  • toy stuffing
  • embroidery thread/ tapestry wool in black and red/purple for eyes and mouth
  • pipe cleaner (optional)
