Pattern Description:
This sweet little stuffed bear makes a great handmade gift. Knit in one piece with very minimal seaming, he knits up quickly and requires little finishing.
Techniques used in this pattern beyond knit and purl include increasing, decreasing, 3 needle bind off and a small amount of short rowing.
Gauge:
28 sts x 40 rows =4" in stst
Sizing / Finished Measurements:
- Finished bear is approximately 12" tall
Materials:
- 150 yards of fingering weight yarn in main color (MC)
- 10 yards fingering weight yarn in contrast color (CC)
- 2 yards of black fingering weight yarn, held double, for eyes and nose (these are stitched on with a yarn needle, not knit)
- 4 stitch markers
- 4 stitch holders
- yarn or tapestry needle
- 1-2 oz (30-60 g) stuffing (amount varies depending on how stuffed you want your finished bear to look)
