Pattern Description:

Poppy Possum and her baby love to hang around.

Poppy is 16 inches from the tip of her nose to end of her tail.

The baby is 10 inches from the tip of the nose to end of the tail.

The body is done entirely in the round. Feet and legs do require some seaming.

Techniques used include:
knitting in the round
standard increases and decreases

You will need one skein of Jo-ann Sensations Angle hair,
and less then half a skein of white, dark grey and pink worsted weight yarn.


12sts, 16 rows = 2 inches in stockinette
stitch in the round, using worsted-weight yarn.

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • Mother: 16 inches from the tip of the nose to end of the tail.
  • Baby: 10 inches from the tip of the nose to end of the tail.


  • Super Bulky yarn - Jo-Ann Sensations Angel Hair, color 601 Black/White - 1 skein
  • Worsted Weight yarn - Cascade 220, color 4192 pink - less than half a skein
  • Vanna's Choice, color 100 White - half a skein
  • Vanna's Choice, color 404 Dark Grey Heather - less than half a skein
  • 1 set US size 6/4.0mm DPNs

You Will Also Need:

  • Polyester fiberfill
  • Stitch marker
  • Tapesty needle
  • 12mm safety eyes for mother (optional)
  • 9mm safety eyes for baby (optional)
