Pattern Description:

Norwood Monkey knitting pattern ...

Norwood is a very cheeky monkey, and he loves eating bananas. This listing is for patterns for you to knit your own Norwood Monkey and bananas. There are two banana patterns included - a freshly picked banana, and one banana that Norwood has opened ready to eat. The banana skin and fruit are knitted separately, so don't let your cheeky monkey leave banana skins on the floor for people to slip on!

Finished size ...

The finished monkey is 26 cm tall, but you can make him bigger by following this pattern and using a larger needle size.

About the pattern ...

The knitting pattern is written row by row so it is easier for beginners to follow, and includes a list of abbreviations and step by step construction details with photos to help you. The pattern is written in English. All pieces are knitted flat on straight needles except any i-cord knitted pieces which are knitted on two double pointed needles.

  • All pieces are knitted flat on straight 3mm needles except the banana stalk which is i-cord knitted on two double pointed needles.
  • The monkey uses less than 100g of dark brown wool and 50g of light brown wool.

You Will Also Need:

  • toy filling
  • darning or tapestry needle
  • length of black wool for eyes/nose
