Pattern Description:

I wanted to design an ugly bear, but didn't quite manage it and this soft, cuddly bear was created. These bears really do seem to create themselves with little input from me.

He's a fat bear, who looks like he needs a good hug and wants to give you a good hug back. He has big feet and big paws, looks like he needs to grow into them.

Excellent Best teddy bear pattern!  September 29, 2013

Very happy with the end result. Knitting the bear was the easy part but I had a little trouble when it came to sewing him up but Pat helped me out with extra instructions. Overall this is a fantastic pattern and gorgeous bear.

Excellent Absolutely loved making this!  August 10, 2013

I am new to knitting but found this project fairly easy to do. I agree with another knitter who said the eyelash yarn was difficult to knit with. I dropped a stitch on the head 3 different times and each time had to rip out the entire section knitted in the eyelash yarn. I found it completely impossible to find the stitches to reinsert the needles. Overall I liked it and will make another one soon!

Excellent My first bear and I love it!  September 22, 2012

I love this pattern. I read alot of reviews here and on KP. I am kind of a perfectionist, so I took the advise and just did it. I am so happy with the way it came out! I will be making more!

Excellent Adorable bear!  August 7, 2012

I found this pattern to be fairly easy to follow and Gypsycream is a wonderful help when you get stuck! I was extremely apprehensive to make it, since I'd never done anything like this before but I just kept pressing on and it came together almost miraculously! I am very pleased and can't wait to see my granddaughters face when I hand her this bear next week. I'll try to remember to get a picture of her holding it to share.

Good Pleased  July 3, 2012

I found the pattern easy to knit, however the yarn I used was not so. my bear turned out slightly smaller than it should as I used smaller needles and I changed the yarn description for the ears.

It also took me about 3-4 days to knit and make, not sure if that is a long or short time to construct a project like this.

I really hope my new unborn niece or nephew will enjoy it.

I'm pleased with my result.

Excellent Very easy pattern for a relative novice knitter  June 30, 2012

. I loved making this pattern. I initially found the eyelash wool difficult to knit with. It is impossible to count rows so mark on paper as you go along where you are. On the other hand it is very forgiving as it hides all mistakes under the hair!

I learnt the art of knitting when I was about 5 years old. Even at that age I was never happy to follow a pattern, always wanting to try something different.

After a shoulder injury I found I couldn't knit anything heavy and out of sheer boredom I found myself knitting a bear. I didn't like the finished bear and thought I could do better myself so after a lot of frustrating frogging Huggable ...
