Nami lives in the deepest parts of the North Pacific Ocean. You may catch a glimpse of her tail as she swims, curiously, toward fishing boats and cruise ships. Rarely, sailors have spied her sunning on the rocks of abandoned shorelines, but on second glance she is gone.
Body, tail, and arms are all worked in the round and in one piece; very little seaming is required. The head is worked flat with the intarsia method of colorwork. Nami measures 14 inches long from head to tail. A closer look at the tail reveals tiny fish scales.
