Pattern Description:

A great way of keeping your precious Harry Potter books safe.
This cover will fit a hard back size book.
The tongue doubles as a book mark.
Although this cover was designed to cover a hard back book 7 3/4 inches high X 5 1/2 inches wide by 2 1/4 inches deep, it does have quite a bit of stretch in it so would fit a larger book.
Knitted using faux fur and DK on 3 & 4 mm needles.

Materials needed
100grms dark brown fun fur/ostrich yarn
25grms DK or equivalent yarn to match the colour of the fun fur.
Small amount dark red DK
Small amount of ivory/off white DK
3mm and 4mm needles
Elastic /shirring thread black or brown
4 x 14mm plastic cat eyes yellow or green
Strip of red felt approximately 1 inch wide by 8 inches long
Small length of brown embroidery thread in brown or black (for attaching bookmark tongue)
Colouring pencils in, black, brown, and yellow.
Belt (optional) an old belt (the more worn the better) with buckle. Strip of brown felt approximately 1 inch wide by approximately 12 inches long
Fibre fill.
Clear glue
