Pattern Description:

Inspired by the color palette on a vintage postcard, Matilda is knit from
the top-down in one piece, in reverse stockinette stitch and features raglan sleeves with bloused cuffs and hook & eye closures at


31 sts = 4" in stockinette stitch worked
flat on US 3 needles.

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • One size ~ to fit 18" dolls with an 11" chest circumference, such as American Girl.


  • US 2 (3.00 mm) 24" circular needle
  • US 3 (3.25mm) 24" circular needle
  • Optional - Set of US 3(3.25mm) DPN's if opting to work the sleeves with them instead of doing magic loop
  • Knit Picks Palette ~ 100% Peruvian Highland Wool; Fingering weight (231 yards/50 grams per ball) * 1 ball Oyster Heather (MC) * 1 ball Pimento (CC)

You Will Also Need:

  • 3 hook & eye closures
  • 4 stitch markers
  • Darning needle for sewing in ends
