Pattern Description:

Marigold is an ear flap hat designed to fit 18" dolls with a head circumference of approximately 12 1/4". There are two versions to choose from. Both are worked in the round in fingering weight wool
and have I-cord ties with little pom poms sewn to the ends. The yellow version features a slip stitch pattern around the body with a plump pom pom to top it off. The white version is worked in stockinette stitch and embellished with your favorite flower, whether it be fabric, felt, knit, crocheted or embroidered.


White Version: 33 sts & 42 rounds = 4" in St st worked in the round.

Yellow Version: 35 sts & 46 rounds = 4" in Slip Stitch Pattern worked in the round.

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • One Size - to fit 18" dolls with a head circumference of approx. 12 1/4"


  • 1 ball of Knit Picks Palette ~ 100% Peruvian Highland Wool; Fingering weight (231 yards per ball)
  • Set of size US 2 (2.75mm) double pointed needles (or size needed to obtain gauge)

You Will Also Need:

  • 6 stitch markers
  • A darning needle for sewing in ends
