Introducing Lester the Lion. This is a pdf knitting pattern that will be instantly downloaded to you once payment has cleared.

Lester sits at 9 or 10 inches, depending on yarn used. He is knitted in either double knit or aran/worsted weight, needles sizes for both included. He has oversized paws, perhaps indicating just how big Lester will grow!!

Lester is knitted flat on straight needles.


Gauge will depend on yarn used.

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • Size is dependant of yarn used. Approximately 9 to 10 inches sitting


  • 100gram/200 meters Double Knit or Worsted weight Yarn
  • 25gram/50 meters Double Knit Yarn or Worsted weight
  • 25gram/50 meters Eyelash yarn
  • 3.5mm/4US or 4mm/6US straight knitting needles
  • Yarn Sewing Needle

You Will Also Need:

  • 12mm safety eyes
  • Toy filler
  • Embroidery thread

Suggested yarn:

200 meters of DK weight
