Pattern Description:

Every young lady of fashion needs a cloak to keep her warm whilst she is out riding or visiting friends.

This cloak is knit from the top down in one piece, beginning at the center front of the hood and increasing down to the hem. An I-cord drawstring is threaded through a row of eyelets to form the hood and tie.

This pattern includes instructions for two variations. View A features a
fingertip-length cloak with contrasting garter stitch edge trim. View B features an ankle-length cloak with ruffled trim, a moss stitch
hem, and a smocked stitch panel at center back. A photo tutorial demonstrating the smocked stitch is included.

This pattern has been tech edited and tested.

Gauge:

25 st/37 rows = 4 inches [10 cm] in St st after blocking

View A: [MC] 210 yd [192 m] of Fingering/4 ply/Super Fine yarn and [CC] 100 yd [92 m] of fluffy Lace/2 ply yarn (to be held double).
View B: 525 yd [480 m] of Fingering/4 ply/Super Fine yarn Delete
US 4 [3.5 mm]: 24-inch [60 cm] circular needle or size needed to obtain gauge
