Pattern Description:

I received a request to design a knit zebra, and this little one was born. Sitting approx. 11" (including the mane), Zebra is knit in-the-round, using approx. 475 total yds. of #4-worsted wt. yarn. Zebra's got big hooves, a sweet face, a lovely mane and wears those stripes proudly! If you know of a zebra-lover or are looking for an unusual animal, this Knit Zebra is the one for you!


Gauge is not critical for this project. Work tightly enough to ensure that the stuffing will not show through the stitches.

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • approx. 11" (sitting, including mane)


  • Approx. 475 yds. (combination of black, white and pink) #4-worsted wt. yarn Size 4 (3.5mm) 32" Circular Knitting Needles (if using Magic Loop) or Double Pointed Needles

You Will Also Need:

  • Safety Eyes: 12mm (Optional) Plastic Canvas Circles (for placing in bottom of hooves)... 2 circles (2 1/8" diam.) & 2 circles (1 7/8" diam.) Large-Eyed Blunt Needle & Long Straight Pins Removable Stitch Markers Polyester Fiberfill Stuffing

475 yards of Worsted weight
