Pattern Description:

Valentine-Bear Cub lets you know without a doubt that he's all about the love! Wearing his heart on his sweater front and hearts all over his sleeves, whoever is lucky enough to receive this precious bear cub is sure to feel loved. He's even sending a kiss & hug when he turns around! This Valentine's Day...or any day... is a great time to give this lovin' bear cub to that special someone...big or small...and the message is sure to deliver! I've also offered my Valentine Sweater as a separate pattern. Valentine-Bear Cub is similar to Honey-Bear Cub, so if you've already purchased my Honey-Bear Cub pattern, you could use it to make Valentine-Bear Cub by simply changing the colors of the bear. This sweater will fit either bear.

Gauge:

Not critical for this project. Work tightly enough to ensure that the stuffing will not show through the stitches.

Materials:

For Bear: approx. 440 yds #5-Bulky wt. white eyelash yarn and approx. 40 yds #4-worsted wt. red yarn
For Sweater: approx. 170 yds. #4-worsted wt. red yarn
Knitting needles: Size 4 (3.5mm) for bear & Size 6 (4.25mm) for sweater

You Will Also Need:

15mm toy safety eyes
black yarn (small amount for nose & decoration accent)
large-eyed blunt needle
long straight pins
polyester fiberfill stuffing
stitch markers
white yarn (small amount for duplicate stitch decoration)
