Pattern Description:
Having worked with early childhood age children for many years, I've seen the excitement in the eyes of young children when they discover a hidden surprise. This Hunny Bunny perfectly fits the bill! Just add age-appropriate small "treasures" to the inner hidden chamber and watch the fun begin!
Gauge:
Not critical for this project. Work tightly enough to ensure that the stuffing will not show through the stitches.
Sizing / Finished Measurements:
- Approx. 11" sitting (without ears)
Materials:
- worsted weight yarn: approx. 412 yds.
- Knitting Needle: size 6 (4.25mm)
You Will Also Need:
- 9mm black toy safety eyes (or embroidery thread for eyes)
- easily removable safety pins or stitch markers that "lock"
- large-eyed blunt needle
- small yarn needle
- polyester fiberfill stuffing
- Plastic canvas pieces: two 2 3/4" circles and one rectangle 5" x 8 7/8"
- 1" button
