These little round birdies love bouncing around: they make super toys, or you could even make three and juggle with them! This listing is for the knitting pattern to knit your own birdies, plus a nest and some eggs.

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • The finished birds 8cm high, 8cm wide, and 7cm deep.
  • The nest is approximately 10cm diameter and 2cm high
  • The eggs are 4cm high and 3cm wide.


  • 4mm knitting needles
  • Less than 25g DK wool in two colours for the birds
  • Less than 25g of textured DK wool for the nest (eg. Rowan felted tweed aran)
  • Less than 5g DK wool for the eggs

You Will Also Need:

  • Tapestry needle
  • Toy filling
  • Two black beads for eyes and small amounts of white and yellow felt fabric
